"Between broken and healed there lies an ocean. Here we build boats"
If you are wanting to arrive at a deeper understanding of yourself, welcome. If you're wondering what is possible as you grapple with the challenges of living in today's uncertain times, frustrated or sad, worried or confused the journey begins here.
I can help you find a way to navigate these disruptive difficulties. When we begin to talk about the changes you seek we will explore how to re-attune your life towards greater harmony with your values and what makes you happy and fulfilled. I work with individuals and couples.
Therapy can help. Talking to a committed and caring other can heal.
With warmth, respect and an engaged presence I follow your lead.
I am relational, supportive and culturally sensitive and I treat everyone as a unique individual. I work with people not a diagnosis.
I offer a safe place to explore whatever issues are most important to you and where difficult feelings can be expressed. I listen deeply for what is unspoken, to think with you about what remains unknown wanting to be found. I am also ready to invite what needs to be challenged so that you can have the life you want, the destiny you were meant for and the ability to bear what comes.
We will talk together and reach into a tool box of lived experience including therapeutic conversation, somatic experiencing and relational therapy. There is no “one-size-fits-all” or formulaic path. We will find a way towards healing as we discover what gives meaning to your “wild and precious life.”
Seeking out therapy is an individual choice. There are many reasons why people choose to begin therapy. Sometimes they want to deal with long-standing psychological issues, or problems with anxiety or depression. Other times it’s in response to unexpected life changes, such as a divorce or work transitions. Many seek the advice and counsel as they pursue personal exploration and growth. Working with a therapist can help provide insight, support, and new strategies for all types of life challenges. Therapy can help address many types of issues including depression, anxiety, body-image issues, conflict, grief, stress management and general life transitions. Therapy is right for anyone who is interested in getting more out of life by taking responsibility, creating greater self-awareness and knowledge, and working towards change.
If you have found your way here you are ready.
The long and winding road has led you here to this door.
Together we can discover what it means for you to be fully human in this place and in these times and prepared with the needed tools for what lies ahead.

POLICY AND PROCEDURES:
Sessions
All sessions are by appointment only and are 50 minutes long. In person sessions are held in my Berkeley office. For best outcomes it is important to commit to coming to sessions at least once a week. Multiple times a week are also possible.
My fee is $180. When me meet we can discuss current fees and questions about payment. If you are experiencing financial hardship we can discuss accommodations. I take a limited number of sliding scale clients. Payment is due at the time of service by check, credit card, cash, Zelle or Venmo. When you enter treatment you will be provided a "Good Faith Estimate" regarding your per-session fee as well as monthly and yearly estimates of all costs.
Once an appointment is set, I require 48 hours advance notice to cancel or reschedule appointments. If you cancel or reschedule less than 48 hours before your appointment, you will be charged for the full session.
I am not an in-network provider for any health plans and only accept private pay clients. I can provide you with a paid invoice to submit to your insurer.
